Project name: Adaptive Archery Coaching Development

Goal: Develop and pilot an Adaptive Archery Coaching Development Module that equips coaches to deliver safe, inclusive, and accessible programs for participants with disabilities. Through the creation of standardized coaching resources, practical training, and an inclusion toolkit. The project will strengthen coaching capacity and support the integration of adaptive coaching practices across Canada.

Project name: New Learning Facilitator training in Indigenous Quebec Communities

Goal: To train a local Learning Facilitator who can respond directly to the coach education needs of Cree and Algonquin communities in Northern Quebec. This project supports women and Indigenous Peoples by developing a woman in a technical leadership role while improving access to consistent, community-informed coach education for coaches serving Indigenous communities.

Project name: Passing the Point: Female Coaches in Canadian Fencing Mentorship Program

Goal: The Canadian Fencing Federation Women’s Mentorship Program aims to recruit, develop, connect, and retain female fencing coaches across Canada through a national mentorship network. By providing mentorship, professional development, networking opportunities, and peer support, the program will help reduce barriers for women in coaching, build confidence and leadership skills, and strengthen pathways for women to advance within the Canadian fencing coaching system.

Project name: Road to NAIG 2028

Goal: To increase the diversity of coaches in Nova Scotia by supporting Indigenous coaches with the confidence, skills, and experience needed to continue coaching in their communities beyond the 2027 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). Through a partnership between Mi'kmaw Kina'matnewey (MK) and the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic (CSIA), the project will provide culturally responsive coach education, mentorship, community learning opportunities, and practical coaching experiences to help Indigenous coaches enter, develop, and advance within Canada's sport system.

Project name: The Extra End - Wheelchair Curling Sport Development

Goal: To increase the capacity and competitiveness of Saskatchewan wheelchair curling athletes and coaches by providing access to high-performance coaching, sport science expertise, mentorship, and specialized training opportunities. Through The Extra End initiative, participants will strengthen their technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance skills while supporting long-term athlete and coach development within Saskatchewan's wheelchair curling pathway.

Project name: Women in Coaching Mentorship Program - BIPOC Focus

Goal: To increase the recruitment, confidence, retention, and advancement of BIPOC women within Rugby Canada's coaching pathway through mentorship, leadership development, networking, and practical coaching experiences. The project will support a cohort of BIPOC women coaches through one-on-one mentorship, a national Community of Practice, and hands-on coaching opportunities within their local rugby communities. 

Project name: Cross-Country Ski Coach Development within the Routes to Rootz Community  

Goal: To train and support new coaches from underrepresented groups to foster inclusive, safe, and accessible sports environments. The project will build the skills of emerging coaches, promote their community engagement, and increase the capacity to offer supervised and culturally inclusive cross-country skiing activities. 

Project name: Building the Next Generation of Female Performance Coaches

Goal: To increase the number of female coaches trained and prepared to achieve Alpine Canada’s Performance Level certification. Through a structured program of mentorship, professional development, competition observation, and practical coaching experience, participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to progress into high-performance coaching roles within Ski New Brunswick. 

Project name: Coach Mentee for 2027 NWT Championships and 2027 Canadian Youth Short Track Championships - West

Goal: To increase the number of women and Indigenous speed skating coaches in the Northwest Territories by providing mentorship and hands-on coaching opportunities at territorial and national-level competitions. The project will support coach development through guidance from experienced mentors, exposure to high-level events, and shared learning within the NWT coaching community.  

Project name: Labrador Coaching Connections

Goal: To strengthen coaching pathways in Labrador, with a particular focus on Indigenous communities, by providing accessible NCCP training, mentorship, peer learning, and culturally safe coaching education. The project will reduce barriers to participation, increase the recruitment and retention of Indigenous coaches, and support their long-term growth and leadership within the Canadian sport system. 

Project Name: Paddling Together: Indigenous Ringette Coach Recruitment, Support, and Mentorship Program

Goal: Recruit Indigenous coaches into ringette across British Columbia through culturally grounded mentorship, certification, and leadership development opportunities. The project aims to increase Indigenous representation and leadership in ringette, integrate Indigenous ways of knowing and teaching, and strengthen partnerships with Indigenous communities while addressing systemic barriers to participation. 

Project Name: Northern Women Coach Developer Initiative

Goal: Develop women in leadership roles within biathlon, particularly in Northern Alberta, through coaching education, mentorship, and advancement opportunities. The project will increase the number of women coaches while strengthening the skills and competencies of existing coaches. 

Project Name: Newfoundland & Labrador’s First Learning Facilitator

Goal: Increase local coach development capacity in Newfoundland and Labrador by training the province’s first woman Learning Facilitator. Through specialized training, mentorship, and the delivery of coach education opportunities, the project will reduce barriers to coach development and strengthen access to broomball coaching programs in the province. 

Project Name: Karate for Participants with a Disability – Coaching Opportunities and NCCP Program

Goal: Increase the number and visibility of athletes and coaches with disabilities while strengthening the capacity of coaches to support para-karate participants. The project will improve access to coaching opportunities, identify barriers to participation, and support the integration of disability-inclusive practices within NCCP programming. 

Project Name: Nunavut Badminton Coaching Symposium

Goal: To train badminton coaches and support their progression through the certification pathway in Nunavut. Through the delivery of Regional Coach Module 3, the development of coach portfolios, and ongoing certification opportunities, the project will strengthen coaching capacity and support the long-term development of badminton coaches across the territory. 

Project Name: OAWA Coaches Development & Inclusion Clinic

Goal: Increase the participation, retention, and development of coaches from CAC Priority Groups through a coach-centered professional development and networking clinic. The project will provide learning opportunities focused on leadership, nutrition, technical training, and peer networking to support coach growth and inclusion. 

Project Name: SSC Hybrid Speed Skating Pilot Program supported by Patinage de vitesse Québec

Goal: Increase the representation and development of women in high-performance coaching through a national pilot program. The project will provide hands-on mentorship, elite coaching experiences, and transition opportunities to help women advance within the high-performance coaching pathway. 

Project Name: Sport-Études Next Gen Coaching

Goal: Strengthen bilingual coaching capacity in New Brunswick by integrating school programming, women coach leadership, and community sport partnerships. The project will engage female student-athletes in coach education, support the development of a new Learning Facilitator, and build coaching pathways through collaboration among schools, sport organizations, and community clubs. 

Project Name: Inclusion of the Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Circle NL in Sport NL Summits

Goal: Improve access to NCCP pathways for Labrador coaches by strengthening partnerships with Indigenous organizations and addressing systemic barriers to participation. The project will support greater Labrador representation in provincial coaching events while reducing challenges related to travel, geographic isolation, and culturally relevant coach development opportunities. 

Project Name: Women in Squash Mentorship Program

Goal: Create leadership pathways and strengthen the representation of women in coaching and facilitation roles within squash. Through structured mentorship, women-focused coach education opportunities, and practical leadership experiences, the project will help reduce barriers to certification and support the development of future women leaders in the sport.
