Tic Tac Toe Relay

Stage of Activity

5 - 10 minutes

Number of People

3 per team x2 = 6 per game

How it Works

Set up a tic tac toe grid using the hula hoops or the cones. Each team starts the same distance away from the grid. One player from each team runs to the grid and places a pinnie or beanbag into a square. They return and tag the next person to take the second pinnie. This process repeats until one team gets 3 squares in a row. Once all nine squares are filled, the game continues by switching pinnies with the other teams – one at a time - to try to complete the 3 in a row.

Great for warm-up, keeping athlete’s head and eyes up, agility, quickness, decision-making.

Can be used in all environments: field, court, pool, snow, ice, gym.
