Taylor Pyefinch

Taylor began participating in gymnastics when she was six years old, and has since competed as a high-level gymnast with the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre for ten years. She competed with Team Ontario at the Eastern Canadian Championships, where she won the individual and team gold medal. This led her to receive an Ottawa Sports Award.

At 13 years old, while still training, Taylor joined the Coaches in Training Program. She has coached numerous different levels of gymnastics for over five years, coaching participants ranging from 2 to 12 years old. As her love for coaching and community engagement grew, she knew she wanted to keep advancing her career in sports and coaching.

Taylor is currently a Program Coordinator for Gymnastics at the City of Ottawa, as well as the Special Events Intern at the Coaching Association of Canada. She believes that sports are important for every child, and that they teach valuable life lessons. Taylor continues to strive to create an environment where kids can reach their goals in a safe, fun, and active space.

Taylor is currently finishing her last year of schooling in Sport Business Management at Algonquin College. Her goal is to continue making a difference in the sport community by pursuing a career in sport.
