Partner Update: CASL and Sport Leadership

CASL Reminder: With the new Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) taking effect on July 1, 2014, the landscape of digital communications in Canada will drastically change and will alter the way we all do business. To help you understand CASL and its implications, the CAC will present a webinar hosted by Mark Hayes, Hayes eLaw LLP, TODAY, June 19th at 11am (EDT). The session will provide our partners an overview of CASL and assist us in becoming compliant with this new legislation.

Meeting Space at Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif: Did you know that in only five months time, the Petro-Canada Sport Leadership sportif conference will be hosted in Ottawa from November 6 – 8, 2014? If you would like to plan a meeting in downtown Ottawa in conjunction with this year’s conference we are now accepting requests for meeting space.

Due to having access to very limited meeting space at The Westin, our host hotel, we have secured additional meeting space at Les Suites Hotel. These meeting spaces will be made available to the partnership at a cost of $50/hour. All other costs (AV, food and beverage, etc.) will be at the host organization’s expense.

Meeting space is available November 5th – November 9th.

To reserve meeting space, please email the following details to

  • meeting name,
  • number of people attending the meeting,
  • preferred date and time,
  • contact information (host organization, contact name, contact email, contact phone number).

The deadline to submit your meeting requests is Monday, June 30 at 5pm EST.
