Dailyn Bell - Ringette

Name: Dailyn Bell
Province: Alberta
Sport: Ringette
NCCP Status: Competition – Introduction Certified
Mentor: Heather Konkin
Fun Fact: Her uncle gave her the best advice she ever received, “you can’t change what happened; it’s what you do next that matters.”

Dailyn Bell has a storied career in the sport of ringette. She competed at the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, secured a berth with Team Canada for the 2013 World Ringette Championships, and has earned 2 National Ringette Championship gold medals. Most recently she’s been promoted to the coaching ranks of Alberta’s U20 AAA team after serving as an assistant coach for the U19 team for many years.

When Dailyn’s not telling people to brush twice-a-day as a dental hygienist, she’s helping with community ringette programs. In addition, Dailyn still takes to the ice regularly as a member of the Edmonton WAM! of the National Ringette League and is ultimately training to secure a spot on Canada’s World Championship team for 2015.

In anticipation of the time when she decides to hang up her skates, Dailyn is making the most of her opportunity to coach Team Alberta at the 2015 Canada Winter Games and considers coaching to be the best way to make a contribution to the sport she loves so much.
