How it Works

Participants stand in a circle. The leader stands in the middle of the circle with a ball and throws the ball to the players in random order and says “catch” or “bump”. The players are to do the opposite action (eg. If the leader calls “catch”, you bump the ball). The leader can make the game more challenging by calling the action quickly and time accordingly. Players are eliminated if they fail to do the correct action.

Catching, reflex, throwing, mental training, focus

Can be used in many environments by changing the skills from catch and bump to fit the sport-specific needs of your athletes (heading the ball in soccer, dribbling the ball in soccer) or using different sport-specific implements (puck, ring, etc.).
