Battle and Break

How it Works

The teams divide into two lines each (four total) outside of the blue line on an ice surface. The first person in each line lies down on their stomach. The coach stands a couple of feet behind the lines out of view of the players on their stomachs.
Without warning, the coach releases a puck into the corner and the first two players from each team who gets to the corner compete in a one on one battle. Their teammate (from the front of the other line) provides support until one team wins the battle and breaks out of the zone.

Can be used in a variety of sport-specific environments to explore offense and defense.
