Fun fact: If Sabrina could be a superhero, she would be Iron Man because he has a talent for making quips.
Sabrina Bourgela, a psycho-education student, began skating at age 3 and went into figure skating. She did not excel at it, and took up speed skating – she was much better at going fast than at smiling and doing pirouettes. She joined the national short track team in 2010. In 2012, she took up the role of coach and pursued her education.
Sabrina’s experience both on the ice and in the classroom as a teacher is an asset to her as a coach of youth aged 8 to 21 years and of all levels. She worked as a first- and second-grade elementary school teacher and has also studied School and Social Adjustment.
When Sabrina is not on the ice, she can be found at the theatre or enjoying her favourite pastime, reading.
