Beyond 2010: Something is Happening on the Way to the Podium

The Canadian sport landscape is changing in remarkable ways. Something is indeed happening on the way to the podium in 2010.
  • Sport organizations are working together in new ways to implement excellence. How are they?
  • Communities are readying themselves for new sporting demands that will flow from the 2010 wave. Or are they?
  • Policy-makers from across government (i.e. Industry, Skills, Research, Health, Social Development, Defence, Aboriginal Affairs) are re-thinking policy frameworks and investments to tap into sport and physical activity’s broader contribution to Canadian society. Are we ready?
  • This afternoon session with Sport Matters will explore these questions and put the sport community on a growth path beyond 2010, on a path that ensures long-term support for sporting excellence, community development, and broader contribution.

Join your peers, colleagues, and friends – and a few experts – in more than a conversation about our future together.
