We are coaches funding opportunity
Funding has just become available as part of the Coaching Association of Canada’s We are coaches initiative for ALL sports that have CAC-approved NCCP programs in the following contexts:
* Community Sport – Initiation
* Instruction – Beginners
* Competition – IntroductionThe funding is for:
* Sport-specific, women-only, CAC-approved workshops in the above contexts; and/or
* The hosting and/or support by National Sport Organizations, Provincial/Territorial Sport Organizations or clubs to women who wish to become Learning Facilitators and/or Evaluators.For more information, and to apply, click here

National Sport Organization Grants
Grants are available for national sport organizations that organize and operate programs and/or initiatives to increase the number of women coaching or to increase the certification levels of women coaching in the sport. More...

Professional Development Grants (up to $1,000 each)
The purpose of the Professional Development Grants is to assist women who are interested in a career in coaching by providing an opportunity to upgrade their education. A grant allows the coach to participate in coaching seminars or conferences, attend major competitions, or consult with a recognized sport expert. A grant may also be used in combination with support from other cost-sharing partners to help coaches broaden the scope of their learning options.
To be eligible, the coach must be certified at Level 3 of the National Coaching Certification Program and be an approved Level 4/5 candidate. More...

Women in Coaching National Coaching Institute Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded annually to women coaches who attend one of seven National Coaching Institutes located across Canada.
Women coaches are eligible for a scholarship if they meet the following criteria:
* Canadian citizen or landed immigrant currently coaching Canadian athletes,
* NCCP Level 3 certified,
* Have been accepted into the full-time or part-time diploma program at one of the seven National Coaching Institutes across CanadaFor information on the Women in Coaching NCI Scholarship Program for 2011-2012 click here.
