Guylaine
Demers, PhD, has been a professor at the
Department of Physical Education of Laval University since September
2001. She takes a particular interest in issues of women in sport,
sport education, and competency-based training. She was actively involved
in the development and implementation of the new competency-based
NCCP. She is vice-chair of Égale Action, the Quebec association
for the advancement of women in sport and physical activity. She sits
on CAC’s Coaching Research Committee and is a member of the
Conseil québécois des leaders en sport. Guylaine was
a coach for nearly 15 years and was also a technical director of the
Quebec Basketball Federation. She wore Laval's Rouge et Or in basketball
from 1983 to 1988.
Marie-Hélène
Audet holds a bachelor’s degree in sport intervention
and is enrolled in the master’s program in educational psychology
at Laval University. Since she has been at Laval, she has received
a number of awards and bursaries. She is deeply committed to the development
of ultimate frisbee and was elected president of the provincial federation
in May 2007. For the past 10 years, she has been an artistic gymnastics
coach at a Quebec City club. She holds NCCP Level 2 certification
and Level 3 Technical and is a Level 3 provincial official in gymnastics.
Marie-Hélène is a lecturer and research assistant in
the university’s department of physical education. The main
focus of her research is the situation of women coaches in sport.
